Grimes says her relationship with ex Elon Musk has taken an unexpected turn online but she insists her focus remains on their children.
The singer claimed that Musk has blocked her on his social media platform X, according to People. The comment came after a user pointed out that Grimes no longer appeared to follow the tech billionaire.
“For context I’m just living my life,” Grimes wrote on X.
“He followed me then blocked me. I’m not going to be following and unfollowing. My only priority is co-parenting. I’m not interested in public dramatics. This is so silly lol,” she added.
Grimes and Musk were first linked in 2018 and share three children together: son X Æ A-Xii, born in 2020, daughter Exa Dark Sideræl in 2021, and son Techno Mechanicus, born in 2022.
Their co-parenting relationship has faced challenges. In October 2023, Grimes filed a petition to establish parental rights for all three children, court records viewed by People show.
She later revealed in November 2024 that a custody dispute with Musk had delayed the release of new music.
