Taylor Swift Eras tour crew member reacts in shock to share of $197 million bonus
The 'Wildest Dream' singer personally handed out envelopes and handwritten notes to members of her crew
A member of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour production team was visibly stunned after learning his share of the $197 million in bonuses distributed at the end of the record-breaking tour.
In The End of an Era, Swift’s newly released documentary series, a production assistant named Max Holmes is shown opening an envelope from the singer and quietly says, “I’m gonna pass out,” as he reacts to the amount inside, per The Independent.
According to People, Swift awarded $197 million in bonuses to crew members following the conclusion of the global tour in December 2024.
The payouts covered a wide range of personnel, including production staff, dancers, band members, carpenters and truck drivers.
In the documentary, the Blank Space singer explains that bonus distribution was a priority throughout the tour, saying higher grosses should directly benefit those working on the road. Individual amounts were not disclosed.
The series also shows Swift personally handing out envelopes and handwritten notes to members of her onstage crew.
