Rob Reiner and his wife murdered in double homicide

The renowned American film director, Rob Reiner has been found dead along with his wife Michele Singer Reiner in the couple’s Brentwood home in California.

According to PEOPLE, the producer-actor died on December 14, 2025, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery Homicide Division, who is investigating their deaths as a homicide.

As per the investigating department, the deceased 78-year-old director and his 68-year-old wife were stabbed.

Further details related to the murder has been kept under the wraps but according to TMZ, the Los Angeles First Department was called to the couple’s home at around 3:30 p.m. PT for medical aid.

They found a man and woman around Rob and Michele’s ages. Moreover, initially, reports did not confirm the identity of the victims but did share that the home belonged to the deceased couple.

The Los Angeles Police Department arrived right after the LAFD and has opened an investigation into the shocking deaths.

Reiner, who was best known for his iconic roles in All in the Family series, and then went on to direct classic movies like When Harry Met Sally and The Princess Bride, married his photographer and actress wife in 1989.

Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner had three children together: Jake, Nick, and Romy.
