Rob Reiner's son Nick under investigation after parents' mysterious death

Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner's son Nick Reiner is reportedly under investigation after his parents died in mysterious circumstances.

As reported by PEOPLE, sources close to the family have alleged that the deceased couple’s 32-year-old son killed his parents, but police have not confirmed this account.

Now, according to the publication, Nick, who has spoken openly about his struggles with addiction, which ultimately led him experiencing homelessness, is now being questioned by the Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery-Homicide Division.

So far, no arrests have been made, according to police, and no one is in custody.

The deceased couple was found by their daughter Romy on Sunday, December 14, in their home in Los Angeles.

Their family also reacted to the devastating news as they told Variety, “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time."

They got married in 1989 before having three children, including Nick.

For the unversed, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner met when he directed When Harry Met Sally.

Apart from that, the All in the Family star also directed The Princess Bride, Misery and A Few Good Men.
