Madonna reacts to son Rocco Ritchie over art studio photo
The Queen of Pop’s son sparks family feud over photo in art studio
Madonna is responding to her son Rocco Ritchie's claims related to his art exhibition.
For the unversed, the 25-year-old painter recently launched his new exhibition, Talk Is Cheap, on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at a studio warehouse in Soho.
However, his pop legend mother apparently took an offence after he highlighted her photo alongside one himself and his father and film director Guy Ritchie, and an assortment of contemporary artists including Francis Bacon, Lucien Freud and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Rocco, during a filmed interview with 72 magazine, explained the reason behind displaying his mother in such a position, "Had to put mum in here. Otherwise, you know, she wouldn't have been very happy."
Responding to the post, the 67-year-old songstress wrote, “Excuse me, ' you had to put mum in here or she wouldn’t be happy'?!!! Take that back!!!!!"
It’s worth mentioning here that this exhibition event marked the former couple’s first public appearance together since their 2008 divorce.
Madonna and Guy Ritchie married Skibo Castle in Scotland in December 2002, however, they filed for divorce six years later, citing irreconcilable differences as the bitter split played out publicly.
