‘The Matrix’ actor passes away at 57
The actor also appeared in the 2012 sci-fi film Iron Sky
Australian actor Martin Grelis, who appeared in the original Matrix film, has died at the age of 57.
Grelis’ talent agency confirmed the news in a tribute shared on Instagram.
“Martin was a bright spark who lit up every room he was in - a talented actor, a kind person, and a wonderful soul,” the agency wrote, adding that their thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
Grelis appeared in 1999’s The Matrix as a helicopter pilot opposite Keanu Reeves, marking one of his most widely seen roles.
Before that, he featured in the Australian drama Big Sky and went on to appear in projects including the 2012 sci-fi film Iron Sky.
