Untold story behind Nita Ambani’s emerald necklace — astrological secret and shocking cost
The necklace features a massive emerald weighing approximately 863 carats, with pure diamonds
Nita Ambani, the force behind the revival of the iconic emerald necklace, has made the timeless jewel one of the most constant and precious elements of her public appearances.
The gemstones have a religious value in Indian culture and astrology, as they are considered a symbol of prosperity, stability, and positive energy.
Nita Ambani wore the emerald necklace during the lavish wedding celebrations of her son, Anant Ambani, and Radhika Merchant
According to reports, the necklace was created by Kantilal Chhotalal, a Mumbai-based heritage jewelry house founded in 1941.
The jeweler has long worked with the Ambani family and has designed several statement pieces for billionaire Mukesh Ambani's wife and daughter, Isha Ambani, including the now-famous emerald set.
The necklace features a massive emerald weighing approximately 863 carats, surrounded by Mughal-era diamonds totaling about 52 carats.
Additionally, the piece is said to be valued between ₹400 and ₹500 crore, an amount often compared to the cost of nearly 100 luxury apartments in Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.
