Why Mukesh Ambani’s $4.6 billion home Antilia has no air conditioners?

Shockingly, Mukesh Ambani's Antilia, a house valued at over $80 billion, reportedly operates without air conditioning. While this may sound unbelievable, there’s a reason behind it. Let’s uncover the truth behind the rumors and find out what’s really going on behind the curtains.

Mukesh Ambani's 27 storey skyscraper is located in Mumbai on Altamount Road, Cumballa Hill, in the south of the city, with countless amenities, but despite the billionaire charm and luxury, it’s AC-less because of its exterior beauty.

Antilia uses a concealed cooling network that maintains stable temperatures to preserve marble, floral installations and interior finishes. Individual temperature preferences are not allowed due to the architecture, per Indian media outlets.

In addition, the local actress Shreya Dhanwanthary has previously said she was told during a shoot that temperatures could not be changed because the system is set for the architecture, not occupants.

Additionally, Ambani Family matriarch Nita Ambani, who loves the eco-friendly environment, said the family chose to live on the 27th floor for practical reasons rather than symbolism, as per Times Now.

At that height, the residence receives healthy sunlight and sea breeze, while remaining isolated from Mumbai’s pollution.

Moreover, the intent was to create a home that feels open and calm, despite its scale, with design choices driven by air, light and livability rather than display.
