Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner’s two children, Jake and Romy, have released a new statement via their spokesperson.
“Jake and Romy Reiner remain grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received,” their rep told PEOPLE on December 22.
While it was further dislcosed that the family will “share information about a memorial service honoring their parents at a later date.”
The outlet also reported that the latest statement was released following “an informal gathering” of the late couple’s friends at actor and filmmaker Albert Brooks’ home last week.
Rob and Michele Reiner were announced dead on December 14, when they were found slain at their home in Brentwood, California.
Their son Nick Reiner was later discovered as the culprit and was subsequently arrested and charged, with his trial currently scheduled for January 7, 2026.
