Joe Jonas overcome with emotion at Jonas Brothers’ 20th Anniversary tour finale
Jonas Brothers wrapped their anniversary tour with special guests and sentimental moments
Joe Jonas got emotional as the Jonas Brothers wrapped their JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour with a star-studded final show in Brooklyn.
Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas kicked off their milestone 20th anniversary tour at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in August and closed out the U.S. leg at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Monday, December 22.
For the unversed, the tour celebrated two decades of music and featured surprise guests at nearly every stop.
Monday night was no exception as JoJo made her second JONAS20 appearance after joining the band earlier this year at Fenway Park, performing her hit Too Little Too Late before teaming up with the brothers for Vacation Eyes.
Japanese musician Yoshiki joined them on piano for Fly with Me followed by Norah Jones, who performed her Grammy winning song Don’t Know Why.
Best New Artist Grammy nominee Sombr later took the stage to sing Back to Friends.
For the reprise, the brothers performed the first song they ever wrote together, Please Be Mine, before welcoming their parents, Denise Jonas and Kevin Jonas Sr. and younger brother Franklin to sing When You Look Me in the Eyes, a song they co wrote with their dad early in their career.
Moreover, Nick Jonas told the crowd, “Tonight we wrap up the U.S. leg of the 20th anniversary tour…the journey has just begun, and every year that we get to continue to be in front of you, singing these songs and telling these stories, is a gift to us. So, thank you.”
After their final bow, Joe Jonas, was seen wiping away tears. While the Brooklyn show marked the official tour finale.
Additionally, the band announced in November that they were “hitting one more hometown before the years ends” with a show in Jacksonville on December 30 ahead of New Year’s Eve show at Hard Rock Live.
