Ray J predicts shortened lifespan to 2027 due to health issues
Ray J believes that he has a limited time left to live
Ray J asserts that due to a lengthy period of health issues, he doesn't expect to be alive much longer, foreseeing his death next year.
“2027 will certainly be it for me,” he announced, in a video clip posted on social media Tuesday night. “That’s the prediction.”
As someone in the video countered with, “Don’t say that…forget the doctor,” Ray shook his head and buried his face in his hands.
“I shouldn’t have pushed this hard, man,” he remarked, adding, “My kids' mom will be fine, my children will be fine; if they wish to spend all the money, let them. I completed my duty here.”
“And man, when it's all over, cremate me, don’t lay me to rest in a grave,” he instructed.
The artist then expressed his gratitude to his parents, mentioning they would be accompanying him to a doctor’s visit the following day, and also to his sister, R&B sensation Brandy, who he acknowledged “has covered my expenses for the year.”
On Sunday, Ray J, whose real name is William Raymond Norwood Jr., 45 years old, shared health updates, mentioning in another social media video that he “nearly lost his life.”
This follows recent news that he experienced another health scare earlier this month.
A source familiar with the singer told TMZ on January 7 that he was hospitalised with a severe pneumonia case after experiencing “heart pains,” and doctors performed an echocardiogram and took X-rays.
The publication previously noted in October 2021 that the “One Wish” artist was admitted with the same illness in Miami.
In December, Ray J was arrested for allegedly brandishing a firearm at his estranged wife, Princess Love, and threatening a person during a Thanksgiving livestream.
Princess Love — who co-parents two children with Ray J — initiated divorce for the fourth time in February 2024.
