K-pop icon Joshua Hong spotted pitchside for first-ever Super Bowl visit
Hong was seen soaking up atmosphere at Levi’s Stadium in a preppy outfit
The Joshua Hong charm offensive is gaining serious momentum across the Atlantic. Fresh from making history as the first male K-pop idol to grace the Golden Globes red carpet, the Seventeen vocalist returned to his home state for Super Bowl LX.
Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Jay-Z and Travis Scott in San Francisco, the Los Angeles-born singer was clearly relishing the high-octane atmosphere of the championship clash between the Patriots and the Seahawks.
In a video shared by the NFL, the 30-year-old star shared his enthusiasm for the event. "It's my first time at the Super Bowl. So excited to be here," Hong remarked, before generously wishing both teams the best of luck.
Ahead of the kick-off, he teased his millions of followers with car selfies, eventually appearing pitchside in a sophisticated, preppy ensemble to soak up the "sights and sounds" of the stadium.
This high-profile appearance is part of a calculated move into the American mainstream.
Having recently sat front-row at Thom Browne’s fashion show and signed with United Talent Agency for acting roles, Hong is proving he is far more than just a boy band member. While Seventeen continues to be a primary earner for K-pop giant Hybe, Hong is successfully carving out a solo legacy.
With Seventeen’s world tour heading to Southeast Asia and label mates BTS preparing for a massive March comeback, the spotlight on Hong remains brighter than ever as he bridges the gap between Seoul and Hollywood.
