The Blind Side actor Quinton Aaron remains in the hospital but has regained consciousness.

This January, the 41-year-old actor experienced a spinal stroke. Following the incident, he stayed in the hospital under "very serious condition," a close family source shared.

Quinton gave a statement to PEOPLE, noting, "I have faced challenges, but I'm concentrating on my faith, healing, loved ones, and career."

According to his family, he is "feeling strong and uplifted."

The actor is now able to talk to his family and frequently FaceTime and text his closest friends. "He is looking forward to the new possibilities that lie ahead," his family stated.

His family also provided a photo featuring Quinton with his brother, Jarred. They mentioned that this experience has brought the siblings closer together.

The Aaron family further stated that Quinton is "awake, fully conscious, and engaging with his family and approved visitors."

As per the family, the actor has "sensation in his legs" and is concentrating on his recovery by practicing tasks like writing and solving puzzles.

Spinal strokes occur when elements like blood clots or bleeding interrupt blood flow in the spinal cord of an individual, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

This condition is rare, making up less than 1% of all strokes, and "can still be fatal or cause lasting disabilities.”

His recent hospital stay happened almost a year after he was hospitalised due to coughing up blood and having a fever in February 2025, previously reported by TMZ.
