Zendaya spills on wedding no-nos ahead of 'The Drama' premiere
The Euphoria star shares her top tips for being a helpful and thoughtful wedding guest
Zendaya has opened up about her wedding dos and don’ts, and she’s got strong opinions about what guests should never do.
At the Los Angeles premiere of her upcoming A24 film, The Drama, on March 17, the 29-year-old actress spoke with Elle Magazine about the biggest wedding guest mistake: wearing white.
"You can’t, don’t wear white to somebody else’s wedding unless they tell you to," Zendaya said, donning a bridal white Vivienne Westwood gown the same she wore to the 2015 Academy Awards, fueling ongoing speculation that she may have secretly married longtime partner Tom Holland.
The Euphoria star also played a rapid-fire game of “I Do or I Don’t” with Betches, sharing her take on modern wedding trends.
She called wedding hashtags “done” and slammed the classic cake-smash tradition: "That's a big no. Isn't that like the No. 1 thing that people are going to get divorced? Don’t put cake in my face." She also joked that wearing an Apple Watch on the big day is off-limits.
Zendaya added that she tries to be a helpful guest whenever she attends weddings. "I'm the kind of person that's like, 'What do you need me to do? Where's your mom? Do you want me to grab something? Whatever you need me to do.'"
For her, music is key to any celebration. "Dance is a universal language and people need music to set the vibe, to get the vibes going, get the party started," she told People.
Rumors of a private wedding with Holland have swirled all month. Her longtime stylist, Law Roach, claimed at the 2026 Actor Awards and again at the Oscars that the couple secretly tied the knot.
Zendaya herself has fueled speculation by wearing what appears to be a wedding band at multiple events, even spoofing wedding videos on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The Drama hits theaters nationwide on Friday, April 3.
