Zendaya Teases relationship secrets as wedding speculation with Tom Holland grows

Zendaya opened up about what makes a strong marriage — and her answer has fans connecting the dots amid ongoing wedding speculation with Tom Holland.

During a recent interview with French magazine Views, released just a day after the Paris premiere of A24’s The Drama, the 29-year-old actress reflected on the qualities she admires in a marriage.

“Oh, I don't know if there's any such thing as like a perfect marriage, but I'd say like people who, I don't know, this is a corny answer, seem like best friends,” Zendaya said. “I think it's always nice to see two people that like, I don't know, really like each other as well as love each other.”

The comments come amid renewed rumors that Zendaya and Holland, her longtime Spider-Man co-star and fiancé, may have secretly married. 

Her stylist, Law Roach, fueled speculation earlier this month, claiming at the 2026 Oscars that the couple had tied the knot, insisting, “I said what I said.” 

Observers have also noted Zendaya sporting what appears to be a wedding band at recent public outings.

Zendaya and Holland’s friendship dates back to the Spider-Man: Homecoming set in 2016. 

In interviews over the years, both have described their bond as rooted in friendship. Zendaya told Variety in 2017, “We are friends. He's a great dude. He’s literally one of my best friends.” 

Holland echoed the sentiment in 2021, saying, “We’re just best friends, we really are best friends. From the moment we met each other, we all really hit it off.”

The couple confirmed their engagement in January 2025 but have remained private about their wedding plans, leaving fans eager for any hints. 

Celebrity astrologer Aliza Kelly has noted that their strong friendship sets a model for younger generations.

“It seems this couple is really showing younger generations that growing up, you can have a loving, supportive partnership with your BFF,” Kelly told PEOPLE in 2022.

The Drama hits theaters on Friday, April 3, giving fans a chance to see Zendaya shine on the big screen once again.
