Britney Spears alleges ex-bodyguard hacked her devices and iCloud
Spears’ ex-husband Sam Asghari calls for privacy amid renewed public scrutiny
Britney Spears has reportedly accused her former bodyguard, Thomas Bunbury, of hacking into her personal devices and iCloud without her consent.
The 44-year-old pop star’s attorney sent a cease-and-desist letter last month, demanding that Bunbury delete any copies of files or photos he may have obtained and disclose whether any information was shared.
According to TMZ, Spears is threatening to report Bunbury to authorities and pursue charges under state and federal law.
Sources claim Bunbury was fired over the summer for allegedly violating his NDA after engaging with media and fans, prior to the alleged hacking incidents.
Spears has reportedly experienced repeated lockouts from her accounts, raising concerns about unauthorized access.
The allegations emerge as Spears is set to appear in court on May 4 following her DUI arrest in Ventura, California, earlier this month.
Authorities say the singer was driving erratically during an hour-long police pursuit, ultimately appearing disoriented when officers approached her vehicle. She was later booked and released.
Fans and advocates have expressed renewed concern for Spears, who has faced mental health challenges and was freed from a longstanding conservatorship in 2021.
Her ex-husband, Sam Asghari, emphasized the importance of privacy for the singer, telling Fox News, “When it comes to people making mistakes, I understand that.
"I think that everyone deserves privacy. And I hope the press has learned from the past, that they give her the privacy that she needs.”
