Zendaya stuns in Cate Blanchett’s iconic dress for 'The Drama' Rome premiere

Zendaya turns heads at the Rome premiere of The Drama, wearing a Giorgio Armani Privé gown.
The 29-year-old actress stepped out on Thursday at the Rome premiere of her new film The Drama, wearing a black Giorgio Armani Privé silk column gown originally worn by Cate Blanchett.
The architectural gown, featuring a plunging neckline adorned with onyx stones, marked Zendaya’s nod to the film’s wedding theme and completed her playful “something old, something new, something borrowed” fashion statement.
Blanchett, 56, most recently wore the same gown for the Venice Film Festival premiere of La Grazia in 2025 and previously at the 2022 SAG Awards.
Zendaya’s choice to borrow the Oscar winner’s design signals her penchant for blending high fashion with meaningful storytelling.
For her “something old,” Zendaya revisited her own archives, wearing a silky Vivienne Westwood gown first seen at the 2015 Academy Awards.
And for the Paris premiere of The Drama, she debuted a brand-new custom Louis Vuitton white gown with a dramatic black bow on the back — her “something new.”
The fashion spotlight coincides with ongoing rumors that Zendaya has secretly married longtime partner Tom Holland.
At the Los Angeles premiere on March 17, the actress donned a white gown and appeared to wear a wedding band, fueling speculation.
Her stylist and close friend Law Roach hinted at the secret nuptials in a March 1 red carpet interview, telling Access Hollywood, “The wedding has already happened… You missed it.” Zendaya’s team has yet to confirm or deny the reports.
Adding a humorous twist, Zendaya addressed wedding buzz during a March 16 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, noting that viral AI-generated images purporting to show their wedding were “not real.”
She laughed as she showed additional AI-created media, poking fun at the frenzy surrounding her private life.
