Samara Weaving has expressed her gratitude for the supportive "village" of friends, including fellow Australian actress Margot Robbie, who are guiding her through her first pregnancy.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE on the red carpet of the Clarins Night of Extra event in Los Angeles on 20 March, the 34-year-old actress revealed that her inner circle has been "so lovely" as she prepares for motherhood.

Weaving, who is expecting her first child with her husband, director Jimmy Warden, noted that Robbie and her other "mom friends" have offered a consistent message: "You do it your way. Whatever makes you feel comfortable."

The Ready or Not 2: Here I Come star highlighted the societal pressures often placed on expectant mothers, explaining that her friends have provided a necessary shield against conflicting opinions.

"I think our society, there's so many voices and opinions and that it's tough for women," she remarked at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

Robbie, 35, recently demonstrated this solidarity by attending the Los Angeles screening of Weaving’s new horror sequel on 16 March, where Weaving showcased her baby bump in a custom green gown.

The couple, who married in 2019 after meeting on the set of The Babysitter, also shared candid insights into their relationship dynamics.

Despite common advice, they admitted that they often "go to bed angry" to avoid late-night exhaustion. "A lot of people talk it out until it's 2am and we're just like, 'No, let's just go to bed,'" Warden shared.

Weaving is currently reprising her role as Grace Le Domas in the highly anticipated Ready or Not sequel, which arrived in British cinemas on Friday.
