Dakota Mortensen accuses Taylor Frankie Paul of assault in 2026
Dakota Mortensen claimed that his ex scratched and hit him during their alleged domestic incident in February
Dakota Mortensen claimed that his ex, Taylor Frankie Paul, scratched and hit him during their alleged domestic incident in February, which stopped production on “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”
A February 23 report from the Draper City Police Department in Utah, obtained by Page Six, noted that Mortensen’s friend told authorities the reality TV star was the target of a domestic attack by his former girlfriend.
Mortensen informed police of “two separate instances of physical altercation that involved grabbing, scratching, pushing, and hitting,” the document states.
The document notes that Mortensen was “hesitant” about reporting the incidents because of his ex’s “significant public presence,” and that police had acquired photos showing scratches on Mortensen’s neck.
Mortensen and Paul had an on-off relationship from 2022 to 2024 and are parents to a two-year-old son, Ever. They have been associated with various incidents of domestic violence.
After the interruption of “SLOMW” filming earlier this month, Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” was called off, as TMZ shared a video of their 2023 confrontation.
In the unsettling footage, Paul threw metal chairs at Mortensen, with her 8-year-old daughter, Indy—who was then 5—audibly distressed in the background.
Paul faced arrest for the 2023 altercation and received charges including three felonies—one count of aggravated assault and two of domestic violence witnessed by a child—along with one misdemeanor each for child abuse and causing damage.
She entered a guilty plea for the aggravated assault charge under a plea agreement that would drop it to a misdemeanor if she complied with a three-year probation period, with the other charges being dismissed.
The former couple is also connected to a third domestic violence situation under investigation by the West Jordan Police Department.
“The West Jordan Police Department is actively examining an incident involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen,” a department representative informed Page Six the previous week.
“The claims were made at the end of February 2026, and detectives have been assessing footage believed to have been captured in early to mid-2024.”
