The top three seeds for daily health

Dr Vora identified the following seeds as essential additions for their unique nutrient profiles:

  • Halim seeds: Also known as garden cress, these are rich in iron and folate, which are vital for haemoglobin formation. They are particularly beneficial for individuals facing fatigue due to iron deficiency and contain antioxidants that support immunity.
  • Pumpkin seeds: These are nutritionally dense for both men and women, containing magnesium, zinc, and vitamin E. While zinc supports immune function and sperm health, magnesium is crucial for maintaining healthy blood pressure and muscle function.
  • Flax seeds: As one of the richest plant-based sources of omega-3 fatty acids and lignans, flax seeds support heart health and hormonal balance. Dr Vora advises consuming them in ground form, as the tough outer shell makes the whole seeds difficult to digest and limits nutrient absorption.
