Ann-Margret disclosed a hospital visit after a fall resulted in an injury
Ann-Margret has shared that she had to go to the hospital after a fall caused an injury.
The 84-year-old actress is on the mend after sustaining a broken elbow due to a mishap at her home.
Ann-Margret discussed her accident during an interview with Parade Magazine, which was published on April 11.
"I stumbled the other day, so now my right elbow is fractured," she mentioned to the publication.
"I plan to be extremely cautious and avoid any more falls," the seasoned dancer explained, adding, "but you never know!"
She also confessed that she initially downplayed the fall because she's taken "so many spills" in the past.
"It's alright. I've tripped so many times unintentionally, yet I do! What else can I say?" commented Ann-Margret.
She continued, "My parents always taught me to just get back up. Start fresh each time."
"I've learned that anything is possible, even when I'm at my lowest. I brush myself off and begin anew."
The cinema icon also mentioned that she frequently exercises with a trainer, but has adjusted her routine due to her injury.
"Lately, my routines are focused on my legs," stated the actress.
"I have a trainer who visits on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and occasionally Fridays to help with various exercises."
She added, "Without this regimen, I might start making excuses like, 'I don't feel well.' But this trainer keeps me active."
Though Ann-Margret is healing, she had to skip a planned autograph session after the incident.
She is scheduled to attend the 2026 Chita Rivera Awards in New York City on May 16 to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Ann-Margret, whose birth name is Ann-Margret Olsson, has enjoyed a 60-year career as an actress, dancer, and vocalist.
