Swift holds record as most awarded artist in AMA history with an impressive 40 awards
A big round of applause for the nominees of the 2026 American Music Awards!
CBS and Dick Clark Productions shared the complete nominations for the 52nd AMAs on Tuesday (April 14).
Taylor Swift emerged with eight nominations, while Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Dean, and sombr each secured seven.
Swift, aged 36, holds the record as the most awarded artist in AMA history with an impressive 40 awards.
This year, she stands a chance to match Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston for the most awards won in a single year if she triumphs in all eight categories.
Other top contenders include Alex Warren and Lady Gaga with six nominations each, alongside Ella Langley, Fuerza Regida, Leon Thomas, and Zara Larsson who received five nods.
Among the first-time nominees are Dean, sombr, Warren, BigXthaPlug, KATSEYE, Thomas, PinkPantheress, RAYE, Role Model, SIENNA SPIRO, and Tate McRae.
Queen Latifah will host this year’s ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, starting at 8pm ET on Monday, May 25. The AMAs will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
