Samsung increases prices for Galaxy phones and tablets
Samsung is increasing prices for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy S25 FE, and Galaxy S25 Edge phones
Samsung has upped the prices for its Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy S25 FE, and Galaxy S25 Edge phones.
The starting model for each remains the same, but opting for more storage will now cost up to $80 more:
- Galaxy Z Flip 7 (512GB): Increased from $1,219.99 to $1,299.99
- Galaxy S25 FE (256GB): Now $749.99 from $709.99
- Galaxy S25 Edge (512GB): Price rises from $1,219.99 to $1,299.99
Just recently, Samsung also upped the charges for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, increasing its 1TB edition from $2,419 to $2,499, and the 512GB alternative went from $2,119 to $2,199.
The upward price adjustments extend beyond their phones, as Phone Arena identified similar hikes across the tablet offerings, with storage options not making a difference.
For instance, the 128GB version of the Galaxy Tab S11 now commands $899.99, climbing from $799.99, while the 256GB Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has increased from $1,199.99 to $1,299.99.
Additionally, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE is now priced at $549.99 instead of $499.99, and even the cost-conscious 128GB Galaxy Tab A11 Plus, initially priced at $249.99, is now $299.99.
This is happening during a worldwide shortage of memory components, resulting in higher costs for RAM and NAND flash memory, crucial for SSD production.
On top of this, Samsung has also hiked the prices of its Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Book 6 Ultra recently.
Microsoft, too, has joined the price increase trend, raising the costs for its Surface lineup including Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models.
