American actress Ali Larter has shared humorous insights into her working relationship with Landman creator Taylor Sheridan.

Attending a special screening at the Saban Media Centre in Hollywood on Thursday, the 50-year-old star spoke to PEOPLE magazine about Sheridan’s unique method of communication.

Larter, who portrays Angela in the popular series, revealed that the showrunner often contacts her during his private writing sessions.

She shared, "I just know I’ll get a text from him, like, when he’s writing… if he’s laughing at his own writing… I’ll get a text."

Larter, a former model, plays the wife of Tommy Norris, portrayed by Billy Bob Thornton. Reflecting on her character’s rebellious nature, she admitted to loving the role because Angela ignores "societal norms" and "is going to do whatever she wants."

The actress suggested that many mothers might relate to this desire for autonomy. The series is famously set within the high-stakes world of West Texas oilfields, exploring the lives of roughnecks and billionaires.

With the first two seasons having enjoyed significant success on Paramount+, anticipation is building for the next instalment. 

Larter noted that the production continues to resonate due to its exploration of the climate, economy, and global geopolitics.

The first season of Landman debuted in November 2024, followed by a successful sophomore run that premiered in November 2025.

Larter is widely recognised for her previous television work and film roles, and she is expected to return for the third season scheduled for release this November.
