Christina Aguilera turns heads with striking hair transformation at star-studded event

Christina Aguilera turned heads with a dramatic new look as she stepped out at the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony 2026 in Santa Monica, debuting a striking hair transformation that marked a sharp departure from her signature style.

The pop star unveiled a voluminous chin-length blonde bob paired with bold microbangs, replacing the long, flowing locks she has been known for throughout her career. 

Styled by Yuichi Ishida, the cut featured softly curled ends and a sculpted shape, giving it a modern, gamine-inspired finish.

Aguilera complemented the new hairstyle with a statement-making outfit, wearing a black gown from Salih Balta’s fall 2026 collection. 

The look included a fitted latex bodice, off-the-shoulder detailing, and a semi-sheer trailing skirt, adding an edgy, avant-garde touch to her red carpet appearance. 

She completed the ensemble with a diamond choker and matching drop earrings.

The singer was joined at the event by her longtime partner Matthew Rutler, with whom she posed on the red carpet. 

The couple first met in 2010 during the production of the film Burlesque, where Rutler worked as a production assistant, and have been together ever since. They announced their engagement in 2014.

Aguilera, who shares daughter Summer with Rutler and son Max with former husband Jordan Bratman, has recently offered glimpses into her personal life, including a family vacation shared on social media last month.
