Haylie Duff and Matt Rosenberg call off relationship after years together
The former couple ended their engagement earlier this year, a rep confirms
Haylie Duff and Matt Rosenberg have split after more than a decade-long engagement, a representative for Duff has confirmed.
The couple ended their relationship “around the first of the year,” according to a statement shared on Duff’s behalf.
The representative also requested privacy for the actress, particularly in consideration of her two young daughters.
Duff, 41, and Rosenberg were engaged in April 2014 after roughly a year and a half of dating, with Rosenberg proposing on April Fool’s Day. Despite their long engagement, the pair never officially tied the knot.
They share two daughters together — Ryan Ava Erhard, 10, and Lulu Gray, 7.
Over the years, Duff had occasionally spoken about the couple’s decision to delay wedding plans, noting that life and parenting responsibilities often took priority over formal arrangements.
In a previous interview, she said the pair felt “married already” in many ways, even without officially setting a date.
Duff, the older sister of actress Hilary Duff, has previously described her relationship with Rosenberg as grounded in mutual support despite their differences, adding that his bond with her family played an important role in their connection.
The former couple largely kept their relationship private in recent years while focusing on raising their children away from the spotlight.
