‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ cast report fuels speculation over Sydney Sweeney’s MCU role

A newly circulating cast list for Avengers: Secret Wars has sparked widespread online discussion after it included a mix of confirmed Marvel stars and unverified, highly speculative additions, including a surprising claim about Sydney Sweeney.

The report, shared by industry insider account MyTimeToShineHello, presents what it describes as a combined list of “confirmed and rumored” cast members for the upcoming Marvel Studios blockbuster. 

Among the most talked-about entries is the suggestion that Sydney Sweeney may appear in the film as the cosmic entity “One Above All,” a claim that has not been officially supported by Marvel Studios.

The post quickly gained traction, but there has been no confirmation from Marvel regarding Sweeney’s involvement in the project or the character she is rumored to portray.

The reference to “One Above All” is particularly notable, as the figure is known in Marvel Comics as a supreme, god-like presence tied to ultimate creative power within the multiverse. 

However, no official production details have indicated the character will appear in the film.

Alongside Sweeney, the same circulating list includes other unverified names such as Dwayne Johnson, as well as returning legacy franchise actors Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellen. 

These appearances remain speculative and have not been confirmed by Marvel.

The report also mentions Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, though Marvel has only confirmed her participation in an undisclosed role. 

Similarly, actors such as Florence Pugh, Letitia Wright, and Simu Liu are expected to reprise their established MCU characters, aligning with previously confirmed franchise continuity.

Officially, Marvel Studios has confirmed select casting details for Avengers: Secret Wars, including Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. 

The film is currently scheduled for release on December 17, 2027, and is expected to be a major installment in the studio’s expanding multiverse storyline.
