Heather Graham recalls emotional 9/11 move-in experience while showing NYC apartment
The actress opens up about her apartment while appearing in a tour with Caleb Simpson
Heather Graham opened up about her New York City lifestyle, revealing both a surprisingly modest mortgage payment and a personal memory tied to one of the most tragic days in modern history.
The 56-year-old actress shared details during a recent home tour with influencer Caleb Simpson, where she gave viewers a candid look inside her Manhattan apartment and her life in the city.
“My mortgage is really low now, actually $3,500,” Graham said in the video, laughing and fist-bumping Simpson after revealing the figure.
Beyond finances, Graham also reflected on a deeply personal moment connected to her move into the property.
She explained that her planned move-in date was originally set for Sept. 11, 2001 — the day of the terrorist attacks in New York City.
“The day that I was moving in, I had my key, and I was at the Toronto Film Festival,” she recalled. “And then we flew past the two towers, and we couldn’t come into the city because it was like… I had to find a place to stay in Long Island.”
She added that her first night officially living in the apartment was the following day, Sept. 12, 2001.
Graham’s home tour offered a rare glimpse into her private life in the city, where she has built a long-standing career in film and television.
She first rose to fame in the late 1980s with License to Drive and went on to appear in a string of successful films, including Drugstore Cowboy, Boogie Nights, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and Bowfinger.
Her recent comments come alongside a wave of reflective interviews in which she has revisited her early career, including how classmates reacted after she landed her breakout role as a teenager.
