Nicole Kidman was briefly hospitalized after pushing through a demanding filming day while battling the flu on the set of Apple TV+’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles, according to co-star Nick Offerman.

The 58-year-old actress, who plays former professional wrestler-turned-lawyer Lace in the comedy-drama, reportedly fell ill during the production of a large-scale fan convention scene featuring hundreds of extras, Elle Fanning, and Offerman.

Offerman, 55, recalled that the production initially faced uncertainty when Kidman’s condition worsened on the morning of the shoot.

“We’re there in the morning, we’re getting warmed up… and the word comes in that Nicole has the flu, and we might not get Nicole today,” he told People

“And we’re like, ‘Oh no, that’s such a bummer, because we only have the one day that we’ve built this whole circus for.’”

By late morning, however, Kidman made the decision to return to set despite being unwell.

“It’s about 8:00 a.m. that we get this news. Come about 11:00 a.m., the word comes in, ‘Nicole’s coming,’” Offerman said.

He described the actress arriving in a visibly weakened state but determined to complete the scene.

“She showed up so pale and shaken, but she soldiered on,” he said. “She made sure that we got every shot of her, total superhero style.”

According to Offerman, Kidman completed all required scenes before being taken to the hospital for an IV treatment shortly afterward.

“She was literally taken to the hospital for an IV after,” he added. “And I just said to her, I already admired you so much, but this is how you get to be Nicole Kidman — you show up so your show doesn’t lose a minute of value.”

He called her commitment “astonishing” and praised her professionalism during a high-pressure shoot involving complex staging and large crowds.

In Margo’s Got Money Troubles, Kidman appears alongside Elle Fanning and Offerman in a storyline adapted from Rufi Thorpe’s 2024 bestselling novel.
