Emily Blunt reveals how her daughters discovered 'The Devil Wears Prada'
Emily's daughters, Hazel and Violet have now rewatched 'The Devil Wears Prada' ahead of the sequel
Emily Blunt has shared how her daughters, Hazel and Violet, ended up discovering The Devil Wears Prada and why they are now eagerly anticipating its upcoming sequel.
Speaking to E! News, the 43-year-old actress revealed that her daughters were introduced to the 2006 fashion classic after being influenced by their friends.
“My kids saw it for the first time maybe a year or so ago, and partly because their friends are very into it,” Blunt said.
“And then my kids again watched it last night because they know they’re going to see this one soon, and they just love it.”
Blunt shares Hazel, 12, and Violet, nine, with her husband, actor and filmmaker John Krasinski. The couple married in 2010.
The actress added that Krasinski is also a long-time fan of the original film and was excited about her return to the franchise.
“He loves it, and he’s a massive fan of the first movie. So he was thrilled. The kids were thrilled,” she said.
Blunt originally starred as Emily Charlton in the 2006 hit, alongside Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Stanley Tucci.
The cast is now reuniting for a long-awaited sequel, set for release on May 2.
According to Variety, the new film follows Miranda Priestly as she navigates the collapse of traditional magazine publishing, while facing off against Blunt’s character, who is now a powerful executive in the luxury advertising world.
