- Postponement follows a milestone wedding anniversary trip to Mexico with Eddie Cibrian
LeAnn Rimes has announced the cancellation of her upcoming performances in Spokane and Seattle, Washington, originally scheduled for 30 April and 1 May.
The 43-year-old singer shared the news via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, citing a "severe illness" that has left her unable to travel or perform.
While expressing her deep regret, the "How Do I Live" vocalist confirmed that both dates have already been rescheduled for one month later to accommodate her recovery period.
"Due to severe illness, I am unable to travel & perform this week," she informed her followers. The announcement follows a romantic trip to Cabo, Mexico, where she celebrated her 15th wedding anniversary with husband Eddie Cibrian.
Despite posting happy photographs from the getaway, Rimes cryptically alluded to "tense, heart wrenching things" occurring with her family at home.
She further joked about her health in an anniversary tribute, mentioning her "new vows" regarding perimenopause and general well-being, suggesting that her recent physical struggles have been a recurring theme this year.
The singer previously made headlines last month after a video of her undergoing "deep jaw release therapy" went viral, showing her in an intensely emotional state. This recent health setback comes as the couple marked fifteen years since their 2011 wedding.
In her latest statement, Rimes thanked her audience for their continued support, writing: "I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule and I am so very grateful for your kindness." She intends to return to the stage as soon as her condition improves.
