Kate Hudson gushes over Anne Hathaway, hails her as a 'good friend'

Kate Hudson has reflected on her time in Hollywood with heartfelt praise for several of her past and present co-stars, offering candid insights into the personalities she has worked alongside.

Speaking at the Time100 Summit in New York, the actress, currently starring in Running Point, shared a series of rapid-fire impressions, highlighting the qualities she admires most in her collaborators.

Hudson described her current co-star, Ray Romano as “wonderful” and consistently hilarious, noting his spontaneity on set. 

“He literally does not do the same thing twice,” she said, adding that his unpredictability makes every scene feel fresh.

Turning to past collaborators, Hudson spoke warmly about Anne Hathaway, her co-star in Bride Wars. She praised Hathaway as “smart, caring, intentional” and a “good friend,” while also expressing excitement over her recent success.

Hudson also highlighted her close bond with Kathryn Hahn, calling her a “soulmate type of friend” and commending her supportive and uplifting nature. 

“Every ounce of her is goodness,” Hudson said, adding that she would happily work with Hahn again.

Reflecting on her long-standing collaboration with Matthew McConaughey, Hudson described him as “unique,” “spontaneous” and deeply caring. 

While she noted his fun and unpredictable energy on set, she also emphasized his more personal qualities, calling him a protective partner and devoted family man.

Hudson also had high praise for Billy Crudup, her Almost Famous co-star, describing him as “funny,” “intense” and “incredibly witty,” while also calling him “hot” and a great father.
