Michael J. Fox has shared a heartfelt tribute to his longtime friend and Back to the Future co-star Christopher Lloyd as the legendary actor approaches a milestone birthday.

Speaking at a Parkinson’s fundraiser event in Nashville with People, Fox reflected on Lloyd turning 88, a number that holds special significance for fans of Back to the Future, where the DeLorean famously needed to hit 88 miles per hour to trigger time travel.

The actor recalled recently spending time with Lloyd, revealing the pair had dinner together just days earlier. Despite the milestone age, Fox described Lloyd as remarkably vibrant, calling him “one of the most youthful guys” he knows.

Fox also referenced a lighthearted Instagram post the two shared, joking about Lloyd’s upcoming birthday and its connection to the iconic film.

Lloyd, known for his role as Doc Brown, even chimed in with a playful nod to the movie, delighting longtime fans of the franchise.

The comments came during A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s, an event hosted by the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

The initiative has raised more than $3.5 million over the past three years, supporting ongoing efforts to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

Beyond his advocacy work, Fox continues to stay active in the entertainment industry.

His recent appearance in the TV series Shrinking has been well-received, further highlighting his enduring presence on screen.

As Lloyd nears his 88th birthday, Fox’s tribute underscores not only a beloved cinematic legacy but also a decades-long friendship that continues to resonate with fans around the world.
