Celebrity jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer is opening up about preparing to welcome her third child at age 49, describing the experience as a “fairytale” chapter in her life.

Meyer, who shares daughter Ruby and son Otis with ex-husband Tobey Maguire, is currently expecting her first child with fiancé Geoff Ogunlesi.

Speaking to People, the designer said learning she was pregnant again later in life filled her with excitement and gratitude.

“I kind of feel like a little kid,” Meyer said. “I know my parents bought me my dream gift, so I’m just waiting.”

Meyer first announced her pregnancy in December 2025, revealing that she and Ogunlesi were preparing to welcome a baby girl together.

Reflecting on the experience, she admitted that pregnancy at this stage in her life feels very different from when she had her first two children decades earlier.

“It’s a little more exhausting at this stage, but I feel amazing,” she shared. “I’ve had a really awesome pregnancy.”

The designer also described telling Ogunlesi about the pregnancy as one of the most emotional moments of the journey, particularly because of the added caution she felt about becoming pregnant at 49.

“To get to be able to do it again at this point in my life with this person that I love so much — it was really cool,” she said.

Meyer added that her two teenage children reacted warmly to the news, though she joked that they remain understandably focused on their own busy lives and milestones.

The entrepreneur also praised her relationship with Maguire, calling the actor “the most A+ human being” and crediting their strong co-parenting dynamic for helping maintain a close family environment.

“We travel all together. We have every holiday together. We have every birthday all together,” she said. “He is an incredible father.”

As she prepares to become a mother again, Meyer said she plans to approach this chapter differently by allowing herself more support and less pressure.

“I think I’ve learned at this stage in life, it’s okay to ask for help,” she explained. “It’s okay to not be superwoman with everything.”

The designer, who is due around Mother’s Day, also revealed that the pregnancy has inspired new creative ideas for her jewelry collections, particularly personalized and motherhood-themed pieces.

Despite the challenges that can come with late-in-life pregnancy, Meyer said she feels deeply grateful for where life has brought her.

“I’m kind of feeling like I’m just having a fairytale experience in my whole life right now,” she said. “It’s like all my wishes are coming true.”
