Alix Earle details severe back injury that left her unable to move after sudden pain

Influencer Alix Earle has shared a health update with fans after suffering a sudden back injury that she says left her in severe pain and briefly unable to stand or walk.

In a TikTok posted on May 6, the 25-year-old described how the incident happened during an ordinary moment at home when she bent down to pick up her phone. 

According to Earle, the movement triggered an immediate and intense reaction in her lower back.

“I dropped my phone, and I went to quickly pick it up, and my whole lower back just seized up,” she said in the video. “I fell off the chair.” 

She added that the pain quickly escalated, describing it as “sharp pain all down my back and my legs.”

Earle said the situation became overwhelming as she found herself on the floor, unable to move, while people were present in her home. 

At the time, she was also holding her dog’s leash and trying to manage the situation as maintenance workers were inside her house, which added to the stress of the moment.

“I was on the floor crying,” she said, explaining that she struggled to get back on her feet as the pain intensified.

The influencer said she attempted to get medical help quickly, calling friends to assist with her dog and later having a doctor and physical therapist come to evaluate her condition. 

Despite the injury, she still proceeded with scheduled commitments, including an event tied to her University of Miami scholarship initiative and a brand engagement with Gorgie.

Earle revealed that her mobility was so limited that she even considered needing a wheelchair to attend her obligations. “I can’t move,” she said, adding that she is typically reluctant to cancel plans despite physical discomfort.

She also shared that her dog had to stay with someone else temporarily while she recovered, calling the situation “not ideal” but necessary under the circumstances.

Beyond the injury, Earle briefly reflected on recent personal changes in her life, suggesting she has been reassessing relationships and experiences over the past few weeks. 

She did not elaborate further but indicated that the situation has been emotionally significant.

The update comes as Earle has been in Miami for Race Week events, where she has been active at multiple public appearances. 

She was also recently spotted at a social gathering where she briefly interacted with her ex-boyfriend, NFL player Braxton Berrios, though neither has commented on the interaction.
