Simone Ashley addresses 'Bridgerton' comeback rumours amid ongoing season talks
The actress noted her busy schedule may affect future appearances
Simone Ashley has addressed speculation about her possible return to Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton, saying she remains open to reprising her role in future seasons.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 31-year-old actress said she would “love” to continue playing Kate Sharma, while acknowledging that scheduling remains a key factor as she balances multiple projects.
“I would love to keep returning to the show until the end,” Ashley said. “It’s a show about family and it changed my life. It’s such a joy and an honour to be a part of it.”
Ashley added that she has already had discussions about her character’s future with series creator Jess Brownell, as conversations continue around how Kate’s storyline may evolve in upcoming seasons.
The actress noted that while her role has been more limited since season two, she is committed to returning whenever her schedule allows. “I’ll always try my best to make it work,” she said, referring to her work across other film and television projects.
Ashley also praised the current direction of the series under Brownell’s leadership, saying the showrunner has been open in discussing potential future arcs for her character.
Since her breakout role in season two of Bridgerton, Ashley has become one of the series’ most recognisable stars, with fans frequently calling for a larger presence in later seasons.
Outside the Netflix drama, Ashley is currently focused on promoting her latest film, The Devil Wears Prada 2, which has recently been released in cinemas.
