Livia Giuggioli has launched a sharp public attack on Gwyneth Paltrow, criticizing the Oscar winner over her involvement in a luxury real estate advertisement and calling her a “nasty person” in a strongly worded social media post.

Giuggioli, who is the ex-wife of actor Colin Firth, expressed outrage after seeing Paltrow’s commercial for a high-end property development known as 51 Park.

She said the campaign was particularly troubling given its reported proximity to areas affected by ongoing conflict.

Taking to Instagram, Giuggioli said she had cancelled a planned visit involving Paltrow to her Italian farm, where the actress was expected to take part in a soil-to-fork experience.

“I just cancelled Gwyneth Paltrow,” she wrote. “She was supposed to come to the farm in a couple of weeks’ time… and we just cancelled her because what she did is completely unacceptable.”

She also used the post to criticize what she described as hypocrisy within Hollywood, referencing past criticism she faced for her own activism.

Giuggioli called for greater accountability from public figures, saying she believes silence or perceived support for controversial causes should not be excused.

“There is no excuse for being silent anymore,” she said, adding that many people in the industry have failed to speak out.

In further comments, she escalated her criticism, describing Paltrow as “complicit” and accusing her of promoting harm through participation in the advertisement.

“Making an ad for a luxury condo is as disgusting as it can be for someone with privilege,” she wrote, adding that Paltrow was either “detached from reality” or acting in bad faith.

Giuggioli ended her remarks by stating that Paltrow would no longer be welcome at her farm.

Colin Firth and Giuggioli separated in 2019 after more than two decades of marriage. Paltrow previously worked with Firth in the 1998 film Shakespeare in Love.
