Mariah Carey reportedly planning first European Christmas tour in eight years
The singer is expected to announce a holiday tour later this year while continuing work on new music
Mariah Carey is reportedly set to bring her festive concert series back to Europe, with UK fans expected to see the singer perform her holiday classics for the first time in eight years.
According to The Sun's Bizarre column, the All I Want for Christmas Is You hitmaker is preparing to announce a European Christmas tour later this year, with reported stops including London's The O2 and Manchester's Co-op Live.
A source told the publication, "It's been a long time since UK fans got to see Mariah perform her festive classics, but the wait is nearly over."
"After years of playing seasonal shows only in America, she's about to announce a whole European Christmas tour," the insider added.
Carey last performed in the UK during the summer of 2025, when she headlined Brighton Pride and later took the stage at the Royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
In addition to the reported holiday tour, the Grammy-winning singer has also been working on new music.
Speaking to Variety in March, Carey confirmed she had returned to the recording studio and was excited about upcoming releases.
"I'm definitely recording new music and I'm very excited about it," she said. "I'm kind of always recording new music, but I hope it will do well and people will like it."
While Carey laughed off questions about whether she is working on a new album, she also reiterated her plans to eventually release her long-discussed lost grunge project, Someone's Ugly Daughter.
"I want to have this happen, but you know, I gotta wait," she said, adding that the release is still part of her plans.
The singer also revealed she is preparing to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her 2001 film Glitter and its soundtrack, teasing a possible deluxe edition or reissue.
Although Glitter struggled commercially upon its original release, Carey admitted her feelings toward the project have changed over time.
"I used to hate it... and then it became something that I really loved," she said, joking that her initial disappointment stemmed from the film's poor box office performance.
