Britney Spears is exploring a new chapter in her life, revealing plans for a more creative and wholesome career move as she focuses on personal growth following a challenging year.

The 44-year-old pop superstar shared that she is considering launching a business making soaps and candles while also thinking about stepping away from Instagram.

In a post on the social media platform, Spears wrote: "I’m learning to be kinder to myself and I’m thinking of starting a cool business making soap and candles and quitting IG [Instagram]."

The Toxic singer also described herself as someone who enjoys exploring small, creative projects.

"If you know me, I’m actually a real nerd and I get fascinated with the smallest things," she added.

Spears recently shared her passion for arts and crafts in a video showing her attempt to create a stained-glass lamp, although the project ended with an unexpected accident.

The singer explained that the machine used to melt the glass malfunctioned, causing what she described as a "minor explosion."

"Ok, I’ll be honest, the melting machine blew up and there was a minor explosion when I tried to melt the glass," Spears wrote.

She added that the experience was still memorable, saying watching the glass melt was "really different and so beautiful" before sparks began flying.

"We had headgear on, so we were safe!" she said, joking that she kept the damaged piece for two months before someone eventually threw it away.

Spears previously revealed that arts and crafts became an important outlet for her following a difficult period involving legal issues and a rehabilitation stay.

Earlier this year, the singer was arrested in Ventura County, California, after police responded to a report of a driver allegedly travelling at high speeds and swerving. She later pleaded guilty to reckless driving and received 12 months' probation, along with a fine and court-ordered mental health appointments as part of a plea agreement.

Following the legal proceedings, Spears returned to Instagram and reflected on the personal changes she had experienced.

"This year has been quite interesting," she wrote, admitting she had become deeply invested in arts and crafts while learning more about herself.

The singer also opened up about why she often creates in her kitchen, explaining that the space holds emotional significance because it reminds her of family gatherings, celebrations and shared memories.

"I have a lot of emotional issues that come up in my kitchen," Spears wrote. "I guess that’s usually where we as family all come together to celebrate, pray and cook and well for some reason I did my crafts there."
