Pedro Pascal calls 'The Last of Us' co-star Bella Ramsey ‘generous, thoughtful teenager’

Pedro Pascal praised his 19-year-old co-star Bella Ramsey, who he appeared with in HBO series The Last of Us.

In a segment of Variety’s Actors on Actors, Pascal, who plays Joel in the HBO series spoke about his co-actor Ramsey.

The actor also admitted how daunting it was to begin working with such a young actress, who was only 17 when they first started filming.

“How scary it was to know that you were going into an experience that was 12 months away from home — with a teenager,” Pascal told the host Yeun.

The Mandalorian star also added that Ramsey was “cool.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a more anchoring, generous, thoughtful teenager. And I don’t mean to say that in a patronizing way,” the 48-year-old actor revealed.

He also noted, “I relied on Bella for so much of the experience. We were both scared and shy about that, but Bella just inspired me to be mature about it.”

“I really don’t think I’ve met anybody like Bella, they brought the best out of me as a person.”

The Last of Us is a series adaptation of the 2013 Naughty Dog PlayStation video game, it depicts the aftermath of an apocalyptic plagued spread because of a fungal infection.

It transforms people into zombie-like creatures. In the series Pascal’s Joel is tasked with escorting Ellie, who was infected with the infection, in the hopes of getting her cured.
