Harrison Ford, who is reprising his role in the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny for the 5th time talked about playing the lead role at the age of 80.

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE, the Frantic actor expressed how he  thought he acting career would turn when he will grow older and his feelings on playing the lead actor at the age of 80, although he expected mediocre roles.

“I never thought that I would be a leading man,” said the actor while talking about his expectations as an old age actor.

“I really was just hoping I could make a living as an actor and not have to supplement my income with some other side hustle… I thought I would be lucky to have a character part on a regular TV show,” he added.

Ford, who has been working as an actor for more than five decades now, has starred in many epic films, including the Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies, that earned a whopping $10 billion worldwide.

“I don’t want to be young again,” said the actor, while acknowledging  “I probably enjoy making movies more now than I ever did.”

Ford also further added, “you are certainly physically diminished by age but there are wonderful things about age—richness of experience, the full weight of all the time you’ve been spending getting to being old— and there’s a certain ease in it for me.”
