Jungkook, the ‘Golden Maknae’ of BTS, unveiled his solo album, ‘Golden’, on November 3, 2023
K-pop sensation Jungkook has assembled ARMYS from all over after dropping his solo debut album, Goldenon November 3, 2023.
This album, surprisingly, consists of eleven English songs in collaboration with international artists like DJ Snake, Latto, Major Lazer and Jack Harlow.
Jungkook's Goldenalso has two tracks that landed in the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 earlier.
After the massive success of these two tracks, Jungkook promised the audience in a press conference that he will release his album with eleven different songs.
Though the artist suffered backlash for having all English songs and none in Korean, he addressed these concerns in an interview revealing that the target audience for the album is international.
Golden also includes the hit track, Seven, a collab with Latto that became Jungkook’s first ever number 1 US song as a solo artist. The second track, 3D was also a hit collaboration with Jack Harlow and ranked #5 in the Hot 100 songs.
Golden is the latest solo project from the BTS boys after announcing a pause from band activities as a group; members had to complete South Korea’s mandatory military service.
So far, Jin, J-Hope and Suga have all been enlisted, bringing closer a much-expected BTS comeback in 2025.
Three days after Golden’s release, on November 6, Jungkook will have his first solo appearance on The Tonight Showas a guest as well as performer.
