Layla Taylor reflects on fresh breakup with Mason McWhorter ahead of Hulu premiere

Layla Taylor is confronting a recent breakup on camera in the new season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

The 24-year-old MomToker confirmed her split from Mason McWhorter in February, after fans speculated about their relationship, which began in the summer of 2025.

Speaking to People, Taylor called revisiting the relationship in season 4 “awful” and “very triggering,” explaining that the breakup is still fresh.

“Me and him haven’t even been broken up for a month yet,” she said. Despite the heartbreak, she maintains respect and goodwill toward Mason. “I still have love in my heart for Mason, and I wish the best for him,” she added.

To lift her spirits, Taylor has leaned on her close friend and costar, Miranda Hope, sharing that their similar sense of humor helps them cope.

“Humor is the best way,” Taylor said. “We definitely laugh through the pain.” Miranda added that fans will get a deeper look at both their friendship and their playful sides.

Away from filming, the two moms are focusing on family and quality time with their children. Taylor expressed excitement about upcoming one-on-one trips with her kids. “I’m just excited to spend quality time with my babies,” she said.
