Christina Applegate has reportedly been hospitalised in Los Angeles, according to a recent report from TMZ. The 54-year-old actress, who has lived with multiple sclerosis since her diagnosis in 2021, was purportedly admitted to a medical facility in late March.
While the specific reasons for her admission remain unclear, it is yet to be confirmed if the stay is directly related to her autoimmune condition.
In response to the reports, a representative for Applegate told Page Six: "I have no comment on whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are."
The spokesperson added that the actress has maintained a "long history of complicated medical conditions", which she has been "refreshingly open about" in her public work.
This transparency was a hallmark of her recently released memoir, You With the Sad Eyes, and her popular podcast series.
Applegate previously shared heartbreaking details regarding her daily life, revealing in February that she is frequently confined to her bed due to intense pain.
Discussing her 15-year-old daughter, Sadie, she told People: "I want to take her; it’s my favourite thing to do." She explained her routine as, "Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed."
The Married… with Children star, who married musician Martyn Lenoble in 2013, has earned widespread praise for her resilience.
Since her breakout role as Kelly Bundy, she has remained a beloved figure in Hollywood, now using her platform to raise vital awareness for others living with chronic illness.
