Taylor Frankie Paul has addressed the public regarding her commitment to personal recovery following the dismissal of domestic violence charges last week.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, whose anticipated leading role in Season 22 of The Bachelorette was recently cancelled, expressed gratitude to her followers via Instagram for their steadfast support during a turbulent period.
Addressing the fallout from a viral video involving her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, Paul acknowledged the difficulty of the journey ahead.
"Here come the ugly parts of what healing actually looks like," she shared, adding, "If you know me you know I’ll admit my parts, flaws, and faults."
Reflecting on the intense public scrutiny, she described the experience as a "public atrocity" that ultimately secured her freedom from a "living hell" she previously could not escape.
Paul noted the spiritual significance of the timing, claiming the call confirming all charges were dropped arrived exactly seven weeks and seven days after her wait began.
"I’ll be sharing the process, because if my worst is shared better bet I’ll share the rebuilding too," she vowed. Her current focus remains on fundamental health, including rest and retraining her nervous system.
The social media personality remains under probation following a 2024 guilty plea for aggravated assault. While further charges could have resulted in a five-year prison sentence, the recent legal victory allows her to focus on future projects.
Although her stint with ABC was terminated on 19 March, Paul appears determined to document her rehabilitation for her significant online audience.
