Kylie Jenner's 'ruined brows' drama after bold 2026 Met Gala look
Kylie Jenner’s daring beauty choice at 2026 Met Gala seems to have cost her
Kylie Jenner’s daring beauty choice at the 2026 Met Gala seems to have cost her.
On Monday (May 4), the Kylie Cosmetics leader, 28, chose to go with bleached eyebrows as she joined in on the grandest fashion night, sporting a customised Schiaparelli.
However, when she decided to recolor her brows later that evening, things did not proceed as intended.
Jenner couldn't hold back her laughter as she recorded herself with one bleached brow and the other returned to her normal shade.
“My brows are wrecked. What is this? What the heck is this?” Jenner remarked while laughing in a video she posted on her Instagram Stories.
“This is a disaster,” the beauty tycoon added, as celebrity hairstylist Iggy Rosales was humorously blamed in the footage for leaving her “browless.”
“This is a disaster,” Jenner reiterated, amidst fits of laughter, showing her brows to her followers, which didn’t seem as full as usual.
“Attempting to recolor my brows,” Jenner captioned the video, including a surprised face emoji.
Monday marked Jenner's ninth entrance at the widely-discussed annual gathering, and this time, she stunned in a skin-toned corset featuring faux nipples beneath a grand skirt that resembled a dress being removed.
The lavish butter duchess satin skirt was adorned with over 2,000 satin stitch balls, 10,000 natural baroque pearls, and beyond 7,000 crafted pearlescent fish scales. Crafting this look entailed approximately 11,000 hours of meticulous embroidery.
Jenner paired this exquisite outfit with a vintage silver necklace embellished with rhinestones, pearls, and tiny hand-carved bird heads, along with matching chandelier earrings in warm silver decorated with pearls and crystal stones.
With her dark locks styled in soft, glamorous waves, Jenner displayed her browless face before the event, captioning over a photo on her Instagram Stories, “I am without brows wish me luck.”
Stylist Rosales described the look to Vogue, expressing, “The garment appears as if it's slipping away. It transforms into this living sculpture.”
According to Rosales, the beauty ensemble had to be an extension of the dress, as reported by the outlet, with the help of celebrity makeup artist, Ariel Tejada, crafting the bold look.
“We even experimented with no brows to explore the extent of our creativity,” Rosales shared with Vogue.
Jenner's outfit was her unique interpretation of this year's theme, "Costume Art," following the formal dress code, "Fashion Is Art."
Curated by Andrew Bolton, the costume exhibition investigated the connection between apparel and the human form, featuring sections for the expecting body, aging form, and nude body, among others. Costumes were coupled with art pieces dating as far back as 5,000 years.
