Olivia Attwood on realisation post-divorce: ‘Sex can't make someone love you’

Olivia Attwood has openly admitted, “you can't make someone love you just by sleeping with them,” after ending her relationship with Bradley Dack, alleging he repeatedly cheated on her.

The TV personality ended her decade-long relationship with the Gillingham footballer, 32, this past January.

Olivia, 35, has since started a new relationship with her KISS radio colleague and longtime friend Pete Wicks.

During her podcast Olivia's House, Olivia shared some guidance with a listener in light of her own romantic challenges.

She presented a listener's issue: “My closest friend is madly in love with her employer but doesn’t realise it. She keeps getting involved with him and then regrets when he doesn't love her back. Could you tell her to stop?”

Olivia initially compared the listener's friend to Kate Winslet's role as Iris Simpkins in the 2006 rom-com The Holiday.

She then addressed the situation by saying: “The tears... you can't make someone love you just by sleeping with them. That approach simply doesn't succeed.

“Countless people have tried and failed. Nothing you do can force someone to love you, nor can you intimidate them into it.”

“You can't deceive them into loving you. They either feel it, or they don’t. And if being with someone leaves you feeling upset, knowing your feelings aren’t being returned, it’s basically self-destructive,” Olivia added.

“It’s time to move on and find someone who genuinely loves you. There's no sense in causing yourself pain for no valid reason. So many other options exist. Too many, in fact.”

During another part of the podcast, Olivia expressed her belief that timing isn’t a factor when it comes to relationships.

She stated: “I truly believe a person is either meant for you or they aren’t, and things will either fall into place or they won't.”

Olivia addressed the rumors in March that her partner Brad had been unfaithful to her.

The Loose Women host confessed to her followers that she felt like a “fool,” admitting she “covered up” the issues and even organised counseling for the athlete.

She explained in a detailed message: “I was deeply in love with him and believed in his potential, striving to help him be his best self for a decade.”

“I was hiding the truth, lying to loved ones, setting up therapy, and believing the repeated apologies.”
