Halley Kate turns to viral Etsy witch trend ahead of wedding celebration

Influencer Halley Kate is ensuring nothing gets in the way of her upcoming wedding celebrations — including the weather — as she revealed she’s enlisted a so-called “Etsy witch” to help prevent rain on her special day.

The 25-year-old shared a lighthearted Instagram video on May 6 alongside her close friend, influencer Jazmyn Smith, where the pair were seen sipping cocktails and drafting a message to a popular online spiritual practitioner ahead of Kate’s wedding “elopement party.”

“When Jazz is your BFF so you get premium access to her Etsy witch to make sure it doesn’t rain on the day you’re getting married,” Kate wrote over the clip.

The moment quickly gained attention online, highlighting the growing trend of “Etsy witches” — spiritual sellers offering manifestation rituals, tarot readings, and symbolic spells, often through platforms like Etsy and TikTok.

Kate previously explained that she and her fiancé, Reed Williams, are not having a traditional wedding ceremony, but instead hosting what she describes as an “elopement party.”

“I’m getting married this summer, and although I am ‘not having a wedding,’ I’m calling what we’re doing an elopement party,” she said in a March 18 TikTok video. “If people are traveling in for this, I want to set the expectation really clear.”

She clarified that the event is intended to feel more like a celebration than a formal reception, describing it as “a really good party.”

Still, her latest move suggests she’s taking no chances when it comes to unpredictable weather on the big day.

The viral “Etsy witch” trend gained wider attention after Smith previously revealed she had hired a spiritual practitioner to help ensure good weather for her own wedding celebrations at a Long Island mansion famously featured in Taylor Swift – Blank Space (Music Video).

Since then, the trend has expanded across social media, with users sharing experiences of purchasing spells and manifestation services for love, luck, and even weather control.
