Actor Josh Grisetti has died at 44, with fellow performer Rob McClure announcing the heartbreaking news
Josh Grisetti, the actor known for his role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and a celebrated career on Broadway, has died at the age of 44, according to fellow actor Rob McClure, who announced the news on Instagram.
McClure said Grisetti died by suicide on Friday, describing the loss as devastating and paying tribute to his longtime friend and collaborator.
"It is with a shattered heart that I share" the news, McClure wrote, remembering Grisetti as a gifted performer, devoted teacher and someone who inspired countless students through his work as head of the Musical Theatre program at California State University, Fullerton.
Grisetti married Mackenzie Perpich in 2020 and was previously married to Candice Ross.
Television audiences knew him for portraying Ralph Emerson in the fifth and final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, while theatre fans recognized him from Broadway productions including Something Rotten! and It Shoulda Been You.
