Ella Langley avoids wardrobe malfunction with clever on-stage fix
Fans praise Langley's quick response to the on-stage mishap
Ella Langley narrowly avoided an on-stage wardrobe malfunction after her dress came unzipped during a concert in Baltimore over the weekend.
The 27-year-old country singer was opening for Morgan Wallen when the mishap occurred just two songs into her 60-minute set.
Singer reveals dress came unzipped mid-performance
Langley shared the incident on her Instagram Stories a day later, revealing that her dress came completely unzipped while she was performing in heavy rain before a packed stadium crowd.
"Yesterday my entire dress came unzipped on song #2 in a 60 minute set in the pouring rain in a stadium full of people," she wrote.
Ravens jersey saves the day
Instead of leaving the stage, Langley quickly threw on an oversized Baltimore Ravens jersey over her outfit and continued the performance.
Videos shared on TikTok showed the jersey covering the damaged dress while a pink fringed skirt remained visible underneath.
It is unclear who provided the jersey, though fans speculated it came from someone in the audience because it featured Langley's surname on the back and the number "26" on the front.
Fans praise quick thinking
Fans applauded the singer's improvised solution on social media.
"He might have chose Texas, but she chose Baltimore," one TikTok user joked, referencing Langley's hit song Choosin' Texas. Others quipped that they wanted to see her wear jerseys representing their own hometown teams.
The wardrobe mishap comes as Langley continues a successful year in country music, with three songs currently sitting in the top four of the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.
